About Us
Chances are you care deeply about your family and want the very best
for them. Yet, if you’re like many, you’re confused
and frustrated in trying to discern what exactly is best. From
day care providers to sports coaches to school teachers to counselors,
families often feel they need to get to an expert.
Please know, God designed you to be the only expert for your family.
He designed you to be the perfect gift to your spouse and the primary
trainer and nurturer of your children. No one else knows as much
or cares as deeply about your family as you. When God designs families,
He provides every member everything they need to create a great family.
You may just need a little guidance and support. That’s where
Your Family Matters can help. Whether your group needs a speaker
to help educate on sound principles of family life or you need a
little personal education on a specific stage of marriage or parenting,
Your Family Matters is here to serve you.
Tess Worrell, founder of Your
Family Matters, has focused her formal
education and life experience working in marriage and parenting.
Tess’ academic training explored how people develop from birth
through old age and how they relate to each other—in families,
in community, and in culture. She then added a law degree and went
on to become a certified family mediator—helping families understand
conflict and how to find solutions workable for all. But, her real
training has come from her own marriage and mothering her eight children
that now range from toddler to young adult.
Tess’ primary focus has been as wife to Mike and mom to her
children. She has experienced first-hand the challenges of screaming
infants, testing toddlers, probing preadolescents, and maturing teens.
She, along with husband Mike, has used the lessons God has taught
her to reach out to other families through a speaking and teaching
ministry that includes classes, couples’ and women’s
retreats, mothers groups, public forums, PTOs, as well as writing
for a variety of publications. This experience along with more information
on classes and other resources is available to you. Just click the
